1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Dodo (“Dodo,” “we,” “us,” or the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to account holders and creators who join campaigns or connect social accounts. If you use Dodo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information in connection with the Service.
2. Description of Service
Dodo provides tools for:
- Creating and managing creator campaigns.
- Inviting creators and organizing public social profiles.
- Setting posting schedules and deadlines.
- Checking supported public posts and recording posting status.
- Reviewing campaign activity and receiving service notifications.
Dodo relies on third-party platforms and infrastructure. Features, supported content, and integration availability may change. We do not act as an employer, talent agency, payment intermediary, or party to agreements between campaign owners and creators.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these Terms.
- Provide accurate account and campaign information and keep it up to date.
- Protect access to your email account, sign-in links, and authenticated sessions.
- Use only accounts and profiles you own or are authorized to manage.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account and for how you distribute campaign invitation links. Do not share sign-in links or impersonate another person or organization.
4. Campaign Owner and Creator Responsibilities
Campaign owners are responsible for their campaign requirements, posting schedules, creator relationships, and use of tracking results. You must have a lawful basis to provide creator information and use Dodo to track it, give any required privacy notices, and obtain any necessary permissions or consents.
Creators must provide accurate profile information and only authorize a TikTok account they own or are permitted to manage. Joining a campaign makes the information and posting results described in our Privacy Policy available to that campaign’s owner.
Agreements about deliverables, payment, content approval, licensing, and advertising disclosures are between the campaign owner and the creator. Each party is responsible for following applicable laws, platform rules, and its own agreements. Dodo does not guarantee that a creator will post or that a campaign owner will make payment.
6. Your Content and Data
You retain your rights in the campaign information and other content you provide. Creators and other rights holders retain their rights in social media content.
You grant Dodo a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, and display the information you provide or authorize us to access, and to use service providers for those purposes, only as needed to operate, secure, and support the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to Dodo.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide that information and use the Service. Do not upload sensitive personal information such as passwords, financial account details, government identifiers, or health records.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use Dodo to:
- Violate laws, third-party rights, or social platform policies.
- Harass, stalk, impersonate, or conduct unauthorized surveillance of anyone.
- Collect private content or circumvent consent, access controls, or privacy settings.
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, deceptive invitations, or unlawful promotions.
- Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Service.
- Evade rate limits or other safeguards, or misuse connected account credentials.
- Fabricate posting evidence or use campaign results in a misleading or deceptive way.
We may restrict checks, disable invitations, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to investigate or stop abuse and protect the Service or other people.
8. Posting Checks and Accuracy
Posting results are informational tools based on the evidence available when a check runs. They may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. A missing or unverified result does not conclusively establish that a creator failed to post.
- Checks cover supported public content and the configured posting window.
- Private, removed, restricted, or temporarily unavailable posts may not be detected.
- Incorrect handles, schedules, or timezones may affect results.
- Platform changes, API restrictions, outages, and AI errors may affect verification.
A detected post does not establish that it meets a campaign brief, includes required disclosures, has authentic engagement, or satisfies a contract. Review the original post and relevant evidence before withholding payment, asserting a breach, or making another decision that affects a creator.
9. Service Communications
Dodo sends requested sign-in emails, enabled campaign alerts, and necessary service communications. Campaign email preferences can be changed in Account settings.
If you opt into WhatsApp notifications and connect your number, Dodo may send campaign alerts, such as missed-post notices and checks that need review. Message frequency varies with campaign activity. Your carrier’s data charges may apply. Participation is optional and is not a condition of purchase or use of Dodo. Accepting these Terms alone does not provide messaging consent.
You can stop WhatsApp alerts by replying STOP or turning them off in Account settings. For help, contact support@usedodo.app. You must obtain any required recipient consent before initiating messages through an available messaging feature and respect opt-out requests.
Message delivery depends on service providers and networks and is not guaranteed. Do not rely on Dodo notifications for emergencies or as the sole record of a deadline.
10. Fees and Paid Features
Dodo requires a paid subscription for campaign creation and tracking. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; yearly subscriptions are charged upfront and renew yearly, unless canceled. Prices and applicable taxes are shown before you confirm payment in Polar’s hosted checkout. Manage your subscription, payment method, invoices, and cancellation from Billing. When cancellation is scheduled for the end of a paid period, access continues through that period. If paid access ends, tracking stops and existing campaign records remain available. Plan changes and their effective dates are shown in the customer portal before confirmation. Creating an account or connecting a social profile alone does not authorize a charge. Contact us with refund requests; any applicable purchase terms and refund or cancellation rights required by law continue to apply.
11. Intellectual Property
Dodo and its licensors retain ownership of the Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, you may use the Service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Dodo or rights to use our branding in a way that implies an endorsement or affiliation.
12. Availability, Suspension, and Termination
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, modify, or discontinue features, or temporarily restrict access for security, legal, operational, or infrastructure reasons.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, abuse, or material legal or security risks. Where reasonably practical and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may stop using Dodo at any time and contact us to request account closure or deletion. Disconnecting a social account or closing a Dodo account does not cancel obligations you agreed to separately with a campaign owner or creator. Data retention and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free results, complete detection of social posts, or continued availability of any third-party integration. This section does not exclude warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dodo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, or loss of data arising from use of or inability to use the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dodo’s total liability for claims arising from the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid Dodo in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100 USD.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and do not remove mandatory consumer rights.
15. Indemnification
If you use Dodo for a business or organization, to the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Dodo harmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your infringement of others’ rights, your breach of these Terms, or your campaign and data practices. This does not apply to claims caused by Dodo’s own breach, negligence, or willful misconduct.
16. Disputes and General Terms
If you have a dispute about Dodo, contact support@usedodo.app so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim before a court with jurisdiction or exercising rights available under applicable law, including mandatory protections where you live.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits, will continue to apply.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date above and give reasonable notice of material changes through the Service or email before they take effect, except where an immediate change is needed for legal or security reasons. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance, to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
18. Contact and Abuse Reports
For legal questions, support, or abuse reports, contact Dodo at support@usedodo.app.
For abuse reports, include the relevant campaign invitation or public profile URL and a brief description of the issue. Do not include passwords, sign-in links, or social account tokens. We review reports and may restrict accounts or campaigns when appropriate.
5. TikTok and Other Social Platforms
TikTok verification uses the official TikTok API after a creator authorizes access. You authorize Dodo to use the granted permissions to identify the connected account, read supported public video metadata, and check posting activity for campaigns you join. Dodo does not request permission to publish or edit your TikTok content.
You can revoke Dodo’s permissions through TikTok. A campaign owner may disconnect your profile from their campaign in Dodo. Revocation, expired permissions, private or deleted posts, API limits, and platform changes may prevent future checks.
You remain subject to the relevant platform’s terms and policies, including TikTok’s Terms of Service. You must not use Dodo to bypass platform restrictions or obtain unauthorized access. Dodo is an independent service and is not sponsored or endorsed by TikTok or Instagram.
